Indu Govindan

Indu Govindan is the Co-founder of JEA, a luxury interior design studio that brings together 40+ years of experience delivering luxury projects across the world. This design studio brings the best of Essajees Atelier and Abra to deliver projects that define the Middle East's luxury market. Indu started her career with Deloitte in Toronto, working with large public companies on assurance engagements. After getting her CPA, CA designation, she moved into a consulting role advising clients on people, process and technology transformations.

She was then hired by a Volkswagen subsidiary to work on transformation projects spanning multiple departments and four countries. After honing her process orientation and leadership skills, Indu returned to Dubai to pursue a strategic opportunity with her family business after spending 10 years in North America.

Since joining the family business full-time, she has led growth initiatives such as the set up of JEA, adding a manufacturing facility and office in KSA, process and technology transformation projects along with managing key clients. She brings a keen attention to detail, strong process focus and luxury client orientation to deliver successful projects across the Middle East.

Indu is inspired by Sheryl Sandberg’s leadership and her commitment to gender diversity in the corporate world. Indu is happily married to Finny Exeeson and enjoys spending time with her dog Dinkan. When not at work, she likes exploring new cities, cooking and reading.
